Privacy Policy

1. Information we handle

• Account information: email address, display name, optional phone number, optional profile images, password verification data, passkey public keys and credential identifiers, passkey names and usage records, sign-in and email-verification records, preferences, and records of agreement to our terms.
• League and contest activity: memberships, invitations, roles, lineups, tiebreaker predictions, results, rankings, digital trophies, historical league points and adjustments, and related activity records. Someone inviting you may provide your email address before you create an account.
• Support information: messages, feedback, attachments and screenshots you submit, together with contextual diagnostics such as the page address, referring page, browser, language, time zone and screen size. Review screenshots before sending them and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
• Technical information: network and device information, including IP address, approximate location inferred by infrastructure providers, browser and operating system details, request and error records, page interactions, loading times and other performance measurements.
• Notification information: email-delivery records and, if you enable browser notifications, the subscription identifiers and keys needed to deliver them.

Passkeys are optional. Your device or credential provider handles unlocking them; League Play Live does not receive your fingerprint, face scan, device PIN, or passkey private key.

Information comes from you, your use of the Service, other participants, and providers that support the Service. Public sports information and third-party content may also appear in the Service. Contests are free to enter; the current Service has no payment or cash-redemption feature.

2. How information is used

We use information to operate accounts and leagues; authenticate users; process entries, results and trophies; deliver requested or account-related communications; respond to support and privacy requests; maintain records; investigate abuse and disputes; secure, troubleshoot, evaluate and improve the Service; and meet applicable legal obligations. These activities may involve automated processing and review by authorized people.

You may save a phone number in Profile as private account contact information. Trophy-only contests do not require one. A cash-prize contest requires a saved number, which cannot change while that entry is active. Phone numbers are not shown on member profiles or league rosters. The current Service does not send verification texts or verify that you control the number.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analysis and improvement. Account, security and requested sign-in messages may be sent even when optional alerts are disabled.

3. When information is disclosed

• Public leagues: public league names and open contest details are visible without an account. Eligible users can join these leagues without an invitation and then see the participant information available to league members. Choose a display name you are comfortable sharing.
• Other participants: profile information, league membership, contest activity, lineups and results may be visible to other participants as the features allow. League organizers may see member or invitation information, including email addresses. If you do not set a display name, some displays or notifications may use all or part of your email address instead. Shared links, copied images and content others save may travel beyond the original audience.
• Service providers: providers help with hosting, storage, networking, security, diagnostics and communications. Cloudflare supplies the current core infrastructure. Email and browser-push delivery also involve their respective delivery services; browser-push providers can include Apple, Google or Mozilla.
• Legal, security and business matters: information may be disclosed in response to legal process or applicable obligations, to protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, resolve disputes, or in connection with a proposed or completed business transfer, financing, reorganization or similar transaction, subject to applicable requirements.
• Your direction: information may be shared when you request or authorize it.

The current Service does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This describes current practices, rather than a promise that features or business practices will never change. Any changes remain subject to the notice and other requirements that apply.

4. Cookies, local storage and third-party sites

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and short-lived cookies to complete sign-in and passkey verification. Browser storage supports settings such as your theme and installation prompts. Operational measurements help us understand reliability and performance. Blocking cookies or clearing browser storage may sign you out or affect features.

The current Service does not use third-party advertising trackers or track your activity across unrelated sites for advertising. It does not change its operational collection in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. Applicable legally recognized opt-out requests are handled as required by law; there is currently no advertising sale or sharing activity to opt out of.

External links and services have their own practices. Opening an external news or other third-party link may disclose information to that provider under its policies.

5. Your choices and privacy requests

You can update available profile fields and optional notification preferences in your profile. Browser notification permissions can also be changed in your browser or device settings.

For privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete information, or to close an account, contact privacy@leagueplay.live. Describe the request and the account concerned; do not send passwords or sign-in tokens. We may need information to verify your identity and authority before acting.

Depending on your residence and which laws apply to the Service, you may have additional rights, including a copy of certain information, limits on certain processing, use of an authorized agent, or an appeal of a declined request. You may use the same contact to submit an appeal or ask about available rights. We handle requests as applicable law requires and do not unlawfully discriminate for exercising those rights. Not every right applies to every person, record or business.

6. Retention, security and processing locations

Information may be retained as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including account administration, contest and points integrity, security, legal requirements and disputes. The period varies with the information and circumstances. Closing an account or requesting deletion does not necessarily remove records that may lawfully be retained, backup copies awaiting their normal lifecycle, or copies other people control.

We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no system or transmission method is completely secure. Errors, unauthorized activity and other events can result in loss, alteration or disclosure. Protect your credentials and avoid submitting sensitive information the Service does not need.

The Service is operated for a U.S. audience. Our providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. We do not represent that all information stays in a particular geographic location.

7. Age and audience

The Service is intended only for people who are at least 18 and have reached the age required to enter a binding contract where they live. It is intended only for U.S. residents. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact privacy@leagueplay.live so we can review and take appropriate action.

8. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the Service and our practices develop. The effective date identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law; posting a revised policy does not itself authorize uses requiring separate consent.
